Fancy being a salon guinea pig?

If you’re a fan of TV’s Something for Nothing series, you’ll have heard of It’s the cheapest way to get your hair cut and styled, enjoy beauty treatments (if ‘enjoy’ is the right word… I can’t stand being ‘pampered’, but plenty of people love it) plus low-key non-surgical cosmetic procedures like Botox and dermal fillers.

Free beauty treatments

Here’s how it works. You sign up to create an account, whether you’re a salon in need of people to practice on or someone wanting to take advantage of free treatment. If you run a salon you can add your free and cut price hair and beauty treatment offers to the site. If you’re a customer you can browse the free and low cost treatments on offer.

It’s a brilliant idea because it puts two groups of people in direct contact. Salons get real, live people to train their staff. Punters get excellent value beauty treatments and procedures.

Free and cheap hair and beauty offers

The site is completely free to use. Today there are 226 free and cheap treatments on offer, from London to Stoke to Rotherham and everywhere in between. The first page of the list, as I write, offers:

  • acrylic nail extensions
  • dermal fillers and Botox
  • manicure and pedicure
  • cap highlights
  • eyebrow airbrush tinting, waxing and threading
  • face and body paint
  • hair styling
  • microdermabrasion facials
  • gel polish nails
  • semi-permanent make-up

Botox and dermabrasion and so on aren’t counted as surgery so they aren’t regulated. Anyone can get trained to inject Botox and other substances into your skin.  So it’s good to see the site’s terms and conditions are straightforward and, unusually, written in plain English so anyone and everyone can understand.

It’s all beautifully simple and clear. Find what you want, get in touch with the salon, individual or academy, turn up and enjoy looking fab for less… or for nothing at all. Bargain!
