London Zoo houses one of the largest collections of animals in the whole of the UK. It is well known around the world and many tourists have it on the top of their list to visit, along with Buckingham Palace.

Set in Regents Park the zoo has been open since 1828, but enabled the public access much later. The park has over 36 acres so you will find every animal you could of think of while exploring. They have a fantastic education programme and continue to learn about these creatures and what makes them tick.

Many schools visit London Zoo, which gives the children a chance to see animals up close, and personal, this is something they generally would not do. There is a petting section where the animals can be handled, and also set feeding times for you to see how they react with their handlers. The adopt the animal scheme goes some way for you to help provide for them, you can also enjoy experience days where you are a keeper for the day. There are often discounts on entry and family rates to make the day more affordable.
