A few things you never knew about London Zoo...

Set in Regents Park the Zoo has been open since 1828, but enabled the public access much later in 1847. The park has over 36 acres so you will find every animal you could think of while exploring, over 16,000 to be more exact.

They have a fantastic education programme and continue to learn about these creatures and what makes them tick.

London Zoo has also been used as a backdrop for some very famous films, in 1981 a scene starring David Kessler in An American Werewolf in London was filmed in a tiger and ape enclosure. In 2000 Daniel Radcliff filmed a scene with a snake in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
