Sometimes the big guys tell white lies and today I found a perfect example of that.

As one of the UK’s leading discount code websites we get all kinds of emails hitting our inbox every single day of the year, from 80% off discount codes, to free meal printable vouchers, we get the lot. From time to time this include voucher codes from Thomas Cook. Not all the time, but every now and again Thomas Cook* like to issue promotional codes to generate buzz around a certain sale or set of holidays. So, you could imagine my dismay when I come across a page on Google published on the Thomas Cook website that says Thomas Cook DO NOT issue discount codes. I actually had to re-read the page just to make sure I hadn’t misread anything.

Not only did the page say that there is no such thing as a Thomas Cook discount code*, but it also said that any codes found on any discount code website are fake! This is where I have a problem as it’s basically them calling us fraudsters. On one hand they are emailing us asking that we put their discount codes live on our site and on the other they are telling their audience that we are illegitimate.
